WHO ARE WE ?

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the Data Governance Alliance for Smarter Citizens is to raise awareness among every citizen or community of citizens about the issue of data governance, to show how digital technology is disrupting the organization of our society and how the overhaul of our information model can enable us to respond positively to the major current societal issues, particularly by moving from an exclusively productive economy to a contributing and regenerative economy facilitated by digital technology.

It is by relying on concrete cases that it will propose innovative models for shared and informed governance of data with the ultimate aim of supporting the transformation of our society around values such as social equity, respect for diversity and efficient use of resources.

POSITIONING

The association positions itself above all as a Think Tank and a Do Thank able to inspire the various institutions or citizen or professional organizations on data governance subjects. It is necessary to rethink our social contract in the digital age, with data governance being at the very heart of the governance of our society. The association has the exclusive aim of serving the “Common Good” and is, as such, open to natural and legal persons in compliance with its founding principles.

All the association's reflections, recommendations and actions respect the following three fundamental principles relating to data governance.

FOUNDING PRINCIPLES

THE PRINCIPLE OF
CONSUBSTANTIALITY
HUMAN AND DATA

THE PRINCIPLE OF HUMAN SUBJECTIVITY IN ANY DECISION-MAKING PROCESS

THE PRINCIPLE OF SUBSIDIARITY OF DATA GOVERNANCE
